After last season’s hugely popular series of matinée concerts entitled “Musical Talks With Gabriel Feltz”, the Belgrade Philharmonic has scheduled five new “rendezvous” where the audience can get closer to the chief conductor and the orchestra musicians. The first in our series of short and informal concerts will be held at the Philharmonic Hall, on Wednesday, October 31, at 2:00 p.m. when Gabriel Feltz will talk to flutist Snježana Pavičević and accompany her on the piano.

Chief Conductor Feltz, who is an accomplished pianist in his own right, will be the charming “host” of the special matinée concerts, and this Wednesday he will accompany his orchestra colleague on the piano and conduct a conversation in which Snježana will talk about various details of her specific instrument – the piccolo flute. In addition to listening to the diverse sounds of this instrument through the works of Poulenc, Rachmaninov and R. Galli, our audience will also be able to ask the musicians everything they want to know.

The “Musical Talks” series was created at the proposal of Gabriel Feltz, with the idea of achieving a more intimate and direct rapport with the listeners, who will be seated on the stage around the musicians. The five small concerts will offer people a welcome respite from their daily activities and, judging by last year’s experiences, the audience can look forward to a lot of fun, some useful answers, and also some well-known music jokes. Entrance to these concerts is free.
