The basics that Beethoven built into in the form and structure of the symphony were significant for Serbian composers, who made their first creative steps in the field of art music at the very end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century. This series will present some of the authors and works that Beethoven influenced directly or indirectly. Given the disproportion in the development of Western European and Serbian music styles, direct references and comparative interpretations are not possible. However, observing the wider context is entirely desirable and possible.
