Beethoven’s life sublimated everything that the masters of Baroque and Classicism had created in music up to that time, heralding the beginning of Romanticism. From 1770 to 1827, music had traveled the path from the works of the late Baroque to symphonic achievement that incorporated voices – the magnificent Ninth Symphony. The important years in the composer’s life link historical events with those of his own, and therefore the program includes not only Beethoven’s works, but also the works of other authors that can be associated with those events.
