International Review Gives Highest Rating to Belgrade Philharmonic’s Concert

Bachtrack, a London-based international online music magazine and website, which publishes reviews and listings of classical music, has rated the Belgrade Philharmonic’s latest performance with the maximum five stars. The reviewer described the concert, held in Kolarac Hall on October 25, 2019, as “one of the most memorable concerts I have been to and that I will remember for a long time.”

Under Chief Conductor Gabriel Feltz, the Belgrade Philharmonic performed Metamorphosen by Richard Strauss and Beethoven’s Eroica Symphony. Feltz’s unique and exciting concept enabled the Belgrade Philharmonic musicians to showcase their skills in full splendor. In addition to the standing ovation the orchestra received from the audience, music critic Peter Connors noted that everything had come together: the orchestra was on top form. Feltz had a great rapport with his players and the audience, and even the acoustics of Kolarac Hall seemed just right for this music.

Proud of the musicians, Gabriel Feltz said after the concert that this was the best Eroica in his career as chief conductor, and he congratulated the musicians on the social media.

The Bachtrack website regularly follows and publishes reviews of concerts by the Belgrade Philharmonic, also awarding five stars for its March 2018 performance of Glier’s Symphony Ilya Muromec.
