Slađana Aleksić

Orchestra member since 2004

I take special pride in the numerous concerts we have given, together with acclaimed soloists and conductor, especially with Zubin Mehta and Nigel Kennedy.

I am a mother of the two-year-old boy Andrej, a Master of violin performance and a tutti first violin in the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra. I am a positive person, feeling blessed to do the job I love.

Sladjana Aleksić graduated from the Belgrade Faculty of Music, where she studied with Prof. Dejan Mihailović, and earned her Master degree in the class of Prof. Aleksandar Pavlović. While still a student, she won several first prizes in competitions in Serbia and abroad:  Petar Konjović, Petar Toškov and in Stresa, Italy. In the same period, she had many appearances and solo concerts. Sladjana received the Faculty’s prize from the Meri Žeželj-Majer fund, as well as the first prize at the National Competition, in the category of chamber ensembles.

She has played in several chamber ensembles and orchestras. For four years, she was a member of the Dušan Skovran String Orchestra, and has also appeared with Prof. Mihailović’s violin ensemble, as well as with symphony orchestras at home and abroad. Sladjana Aleksić has been employed with the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra since 2004, a position that took throughout Serbia and around the world with many renowned soloists and conductors.
