As part of our educational projects, the Belgrade Philharmonic invests in young future professionals through the implementation of our orchestra’s academy, the Philcademy. The Philcademy provides a unique opportunity for the best undergraduate and graduate students of music academies in Serbia and the region to conduct specialized training with their mentors, musicians from the Belgrade Philharmonic, and gain the necessary practice to become orchestra musicians.

The young musicians take active part in the work process and play in the final concert under the direction of one of the renowned conductors in the Belgrade Philharmonic’s regular concert season. The repertoire is selected with the intention of processing many specific details of orchestral music, which the students of the Philcademy, side by side with their colleagues from the Belgrade Philharmonic, later prepare and perform at the final concert.

The Orchestra Academy – Philcademy 4, will be held from 18 to 29 November 2019. It is open to all music students and graduates up to 27 years of age who play the following instruments:

  • Violin, viola, violoncello, double bass;
  • Oboe, flute, clarinet, bassoon, French horn, trumpet, trombone, tuba, percussion, harp.
