Natalija Mićić

Natalija Mićić is a forceful young conductor inspired by the creation of a strong common artistic vision with the orchestra. She was born in Belgrade in 1991. From early age she began with piano lessons and afterwards she continued her studies at the Conducting department.

 

During her career she conducted the Symphony Orchestra of Serbian Broadcasting Corporation several times. With the Faculty of Music Symphony Orchestra not only did she conduct classical repertory pieces, but also contemporary pieces of work. In 2013. she performed at Apulia Music International Festival in Italy and the next year she became Assistant conductor of Youth Symphony Orchestra (Slovenia, Serbia, Macedonia).

 

Besides symphonic repertoire, she is active in the field of opera as well, having some noteworthy performances at Operosa Opera Festival during 2014-2017. Some of the pieces she conducted are Mozart’s “La Clemenza di Tito”, Haydn’s “Lo Speziale” and Pergolesi’s “La Serva Padrona”. In addition to this, she had a great role model being an assistant conductor of Eraldo Salmieri, putting on stage Mozart’s “Cosi fan tutte”’ in 2015 and Rossini’s “La Cenerentola” in 2016.

 

Apart from conducting, Natalija achieved a great success in the field of orchestration, orchestrating film music by Goran Bregović for symphony orchestra which has been performed in music halls all over the world. She has also gained valuable experience playing celesta at the Symphony Orchestra of Serbian Broadcasting Corporation from 2013. Having the perspective from the orchestra, she has got a strong idea what qualities make an effective conductor.

 

She has attended numerous master classes and she was fortunate to work with renowned international conductors such as: Lior Shambadal, Ronald Zollman, Romolo Gessi, Roberto Duarte, Cristian Mandeal, Michael Scheck. Many of them remained her mentors to this day. Moreover, she has attended various workshops and master classes in the field of singing as well as vocal technique.
Natalija obtained her BA and MA at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade with a degree in Conducting, being a student of Bojan Suđić. At the moment she is pursuing her specialist studies.

 

She speaks Italian and English.
