New date for the Belgrade Philharmonic’s Big Open-Air Concert — September 7th

The news that many people have been eagerly waiting for is the new date for the Belgrade Philharmonic’s open-air concert and performance of “Disney Fantasia Live” now scheduled for Saturday, September 7, 2019 at 8 p.m. The location of the concert has been slightly changed, and this time the traditional Philharmonic picnic will be held “across the street”, i.e. at the Ušće grounds (New Belgrade, Block 14), and will be conducted by our visiting guest conductor, Daniel Raiskin.

The Belgrade Philharmonic’s open-air concert was canceled twice in June; the first time because of heavy rainstorms that hit Belgrade, and a week later for security reasons due to flooding.

“Disney Fantasia Live” has been eagerly anticipated by many fans from all over the country and the region because this sensational production is being performed for the first time in our part of the world. The Belgrade Philharmonic will play famous classical music tracks under a huge video screen, featuring a compilation of the original “Fantasia,” Disney’s masterpiece from 1940, and “Fantasia 2000,” which has never been officially shown in our country. The concert is for all generations and free of charge. The picnic gates will open three hours before the start of the concert.
