“We Have Really Missed You” – Belgrade Philharmonic Returns to Kolarac Hall Fridays at 8:00 p.m.

The gala opening of the Belgrade Philharmonic’s new concert season entitled WE HAVE REALLY MISSED YOU will be held at Kolarac Hall on September 24 at 8:00 p.m. The first concert will see the return of our orchestra in its full capacity conducted by Maestro John Axelrod and featuring pianist Behzod Abduraimov.

The opening of a season that is special in many ways will include a splendid repertoire, beginning with the Festive Overture by Dmitri Shostakovich. Maestro John Axelrod, a charismatic audience favorite and versatile conductor will lead the orchestra through the treasured works of Russian music literature. Our audience will finally have the opportunity to hear world-famous piano virtuoso Behzod Abduraimov performing the always attractive Piano Concerto No. 2 by Sergei Prokofiev. The concert will end with the majestic Fourth Symphony by Pyotr Ilich Tchaikovsky.

The Belgrade Philharmonic’s new season includes 25 concerts from September 2021 to June 2022 and will bring everything that was missed during the past period – spectacle, drama, excitement, comedy, pathos, romance, grotesqueness, tragedy – embodied through all those capital works that we longed to hear live at Kolarac Hall, in full orchestral format.

New times necessitate new rules so that attendance at Belgrade Philharmonic concerts is possible only with a confirmation of complete vaccination; confirmation of previous infection caused by the COVID-19 virus; confirmation of a negative PCR test on COVID-19 or an antigen test. Ticket sales are organized exclusively for each individual event in each concert week (Monday through Friday). Tickets are available at the Belgrade Philharmonic’s ticket office and also through our online system, and on the eve of the performance on Friday, tickets will be on sale at the Kolarac box-office from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
