Following the example of Robert Schumann’s famous cycle of piano miniatures Kinderszenen, one of the greatest Romantic composers of all time Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky decided to dedicate part of his oeuvre to children’s music. This is why he wrote his Album for the Young (also known as Children’s Album), subtitled as 24 simple pieces à la Schumann. These unpretentious and light pieces were each given an attractive and suggestive title, with the intention of being performed either separately or as a cycle. 

In the 2025-26 season, the Belgrade Philharmonic’s baby concerts feature this popular album arranged for symphony orchestra.

Tickets for this cycle will go on sale on April 20 at 10 AM, both at the Philharmonic box office and online. The ticket price is 1500 RSD, and one ticket is valid for one baby and one accompanying adult.
