A Gala concert of the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra featuring the world-renowned violinist Pinchas Zukerman will take place on October 27, 2025, at MTS Hall, starting at 8:00 p.m. One of the greatest living legends of classical music, Pinchas Zukerman will take the stage both as artistic leader as well as the soloist in a program featuring works by Elgar, Mozart, and Dvořák.
When Zukerman is on stage, the audience simply stops breathing… this is how the international press has described the magic of Pinchas Zukerman, whose artistic brilliance has been enchanting audiences around the world for more than five decades. Equally praised as a violinist, violist, conductor, educator, and chamber musician, Zukerman is revered for his refined artistry and musical integrity. He is often referred to by critics as a nobility of the violin, for the purity and directness with which he conveys the essence of music.
Renowned for his rich tone, infectious musicality, and flawless technique, Zukerman has recorded more than 100 albums, earning multiple Grammy Awards and worldwide acclaim. A true phenomenon in the world of classical music, his illustrious career has made him one of the most sought-after and versatile musicians of our time. His collaboration with the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra comes upon the recommendation of his longtime friend and colleague, Zubin Mehta, with whom he shares a decades-long musical partnership.
Following his recent performance at Carnegie Hall, the legendary musician arrives in Belgrade for this long-awaited concert together. Zukerman will perform solo, as Amanda Forsyth was unfortunately forced to cancel her participation due to health reasons. Ahead of the Gala Concert at MTS Hall, he will rehearse intensively with the Belgrade Philharmonic in preparation for a classical-romantic program that includes Elgar’s Serenade for Strings, Mozart’s Violin Concerto No. 5, and Dvořák’s Symphony No. 8 in G major, which will conclude the evening in grand style.
