I take special pride in having learned to play the flute after thirty years of playing the violin, so when I retire as a violinist, you can expect to see me at the audition for flautists!

 

I am… I’m not telling you because you’ll spread it around! 🙂

 

Biography:

 

Tamara Živković completed secondary music education in Ćuprija, at the School for Music Talents, in the class of Prof. Djerdj Zazrović. She graduated at the Novi Sad Academy of Arts, where she studied with Prof. Uroš Pešić. While a student, she won several national awards, including a few 1st national prizes in the category of chamber ensembles, as a member of the School for Music Talents’ string orchestra. She was a long-term member of the Camerata Academica from Novi Sad, with which she participated in countless festivals throughout Serbia. Tamara has been a casual member of many orchestras at home and abroad, including the Mediterranean Youth Orchestra in France, Opera of the National Theatre in Belgrade, Terazije Theatre Orchestra, RTS Symphony Orchestra, the Podgorica Symphony Orchestra and the Vojvodina Symphony Orchestra. She was a full-time employee of the Serbian National Theatre Orchestra in Novi Sad. Tamara has been a permanent member of the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra since 1997. In this position, she has performed throughout Serbia and around the world, with many acclaimed soloists and conductors.
