Gordana Stojnić, second horn

Orchestra member since April 2000

I take special pride in choosing the horn as my instrument.

I am a good catch, some would say ‘almost perfect’.
Gordana Stojnić was born in Belgrade in 1975. She entered the world of music at a very young age, having sung in the Kolibri Children’s Choir, under the baton of conductor Milica Manojlović. She completed her primary and secondary music training in the class of Prof. Milena Stamenković-Rabuzin, as the best student in her generation at the Kosta Manojlović Music School in Zemun. Gordana graduated from the Belgrade Faculty of Music, in the class of Stjepan Rabuzin, and won the first prizes at national and federal competitions in Belgrade and Kotor, as well as the first prizes at the Brass Competition in Novi Sad.
Between 1994 and 1998, she was a member of the Borislav Pašćan Youth Philharmonic Orchestra, whereas, as a student of the Faculty of Music, she joined the Brass Ensemble, under the leadership of Prof. Predrag Ivanović. In 1996, she became a member of the Belgrade National Theatre Orchestra as the second horn. Following the successful audition in the year 2000, she became a full-time member of the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra, in the position of the second horn. Her present engagements also include cooperation with the RTS Symphony Orchestra and the orchestra of the Madlenianum Opera and Theatre.
