Biography:
 
Aleksandra Kurilić was born in Belgrade on 6 January 1971. Her musical education began at the Vatroslav Lisinski Music School, where she studied the violin. Having completed the Stanković Secondary Music School, she pursued further training in Kiev, Ukraine, at the Kiev State R.M. Gliere Higher College of Music, in the class of Prof. Grigoriy Mikhailovich Spektor. In 1995, Aleksandra graduated from the Tchaikovsky Kiev State Conservatory, where she studied the viola with Prof. Boris Borisovich Palshkov, and then attended advanced training with Aleksandar Milošev. In September 1996, she became a full-time member of the Serbian Army’s Stanislav Binički Art Ensemble, while she has also appeared as a casual member of various orchestras at home and abroad (RTS Symphony Orchestra, St. George Strings, Teatar T, Madlenianum and others).
 
In the period 2000–2001, Aleksandra was a member of the Orquestra da Madeira from Portugal and she also took up teaching at the Conservatorio Escola Profеssional das Artes da Madeira. She is a member of an international quintet, with which she has had numerous appearances. Upon his return from Portugal in 2001, she started a teaching career at the Jovan Bandur Secondary Music School in Pančevo, while concurrently performing with various chamber ensembles. Since 2009, she has been a member of Nemanja Radulović’s Double Sens orchestra. Since 2002, Aleksandra Kurilić has been a full-time member of the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra.
