The Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra is launching this season’s first cycle of its favorite baby concerts, taking place from October 29 to 31 at 11:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Under the baton of Vuk Wolkov-Popović, the philharmonic orchestra will perform Tchaikovsky’s Children’s Album for babies aged zero to two years old.
For eight consecutive seasons, the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra has delighted its youngest audience with a fresh program each year. From the Lullabies Symphony to The Carnival of the Animals and the most beautiful waltzes, this season’s youngest audiences and their parents will enjoy Tchaikovsky’s Children’s Album, a piece inspired by Robert Schumann’s famous cycle of piano miniatures Scenes from Childhood. One of the greatest Romantic composers of all time, Tchaikovsky devoted this charming series of light and unpretentious pieces to young performers and listeners alike.
These delightful miniatures will enchant the many babies filling the Belgrade Philharmonic Hall, which will, once again, be transformed into the most joyful musical playground – a space where little ones can freely move, play, respond and enjoy the music in their own way.
The Belgrade Philharmonic’s baby concerts are among the orchestra’s most popular programs, attracting families from across the region. Tickets are sold out so fast, in a matter of just couple of hours, sometimes even in minutes! The October concerts have long been sold out, but the next series is scheduled for December 15–18, with tickets going on sale one week before the event, starting December 8.
