Vesna Đurković

Vesna Đurković began her education at the Josif Marinković music school in Zrenjanin in the class of Prof. Ana Aleksić Šajrer. Later she continued her education at the Department of solo singing at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade (FMU) in the class of Prof. Ljudmila Gros Popovć, where she also completed her master studies in 2016.

 

During her studies, she was a winner of numerous competitions: Nikola Cvejić in Ruma, Talenti 2011, Bruna Špiler in Herceg Novi, and Obzorja na Tisi. She conducted specialized training programs with Olga Makarina, David Bižić, Marijana Mijanović, and Predrag Gosta.

 

She had her opera debut at the National Theater in 2013 as Belinda in the opera Dido and Aeneas by Henry Purcell. At the Madlenianum Opera and Theater she appeared as Drusilla in The Coronation of Poppea by Claudio Monteverdi.

 

As part of her opera studies at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade, under the mentorship of Dragana Radaković, she sang the role of Adele in the opera Die Fledermaus by Johann Strauss II at the DADOV Theater, at the BELEF festival program in 2015, as well as on the small scene of the National Theater in Belgrade.

 

She completed her master’s studies with the role of Maddalena from the opera by Sergei Prokofiev, conducted by Vladan Đurković. The opera was accompanied by a chamber orchestra performed on the stage of the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Belgrade in June of 2016, marking the year of Prokofiev.

 

In March of 2017, she had her debut in the opera of the Serbian National Theater (Novi Sad) as Musetta in La bohème.

 

She finished her 2017/2018 specialized training season in the opera studio of Borislav Popović in the National Theater in Belgrade, and in the regular opera repertoire she appeared as the First Lady in The Magic Flute, Nella in Gianni Schicchi , Barbarina in The Marriage of Figaro,  Adele in Die Fledermaus, and Oscar in A Masked Ball.

 

She performed at the Gvarnerius Center of Fine Arts as part of a series of concerts of the best FMU students in 2015. That same year she performed at a concert Željko Lučić and Friends in Zrenjanin with the Zrenjanin Philharmonic, conducted by Andrej Bursać, and as a guest at a concert of the Zrenjanin Philharmonic under Conductor Mikica Jevtić.
