Aleksandar Radulović
Aleksandar Radulović, born in 1982, is a Serbian percussionist, a member of the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra, and one of the leading percussion performers in Serbia’s contemporary orchestral, chamber, and solo music scene. He obtained his musical education in Belgrade, graduating from the Mokranjac Music School, the Petar Konjović Elementary Music School, and the Kornelije Stanković Secondary Music School. He completed his percussion studies at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade in 2009.
Radulović has been performing with the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra since 2005, initially as a freelance musician, and later as a permanent percussionist. His orchestral career spans a broad symphonic repertoire, opera productions, and contemporary works. He has also performed with the RTS Symphony Orchestra, the National Theatre in Belgrade, and numerous ensembles in Serbia and the wider region. He has appeared as a soloist three times with the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra.
In addition to the standard symphonic repertoire, Aleksandar is dedicated to performing on traditional and world percussion instruments such as the darbuka (goblet drum), djembe, daf, and cajón. He frequently participates in projects that bridge classical music with folk, improvised, and popular music idioms.
Deeply committed to teaching and educating audiences, he regularly engages in workshops, youth programs, and inclusive concert formats that highlight the richness and expressive potential of percussion instruments. He is particularly recognized for his performances of contemporary multi-percussion literature and for his collaborations with composers and premieres of new pieces.
Aleksandar Radulović shapes his artistic expression through a combination of technical precision, musical sensitivity, and interpretative openness, establishing percussion as an instrument of vibrant color, rhythmic vitality, and poetic depth.
