MINIMUM – MAXIMUM

Legendary violinist Gidon Kremer first performed with the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra over half a century ago, back in 1973. Today, he is the foremost ambassador of contemporary music, particularly noted for his performances of minimalist works. In this concert, he will perform Double Concerto for Violin, Cello, and Orchestra by P. Glass, together with his longtime collaborator Giedrė Dirvanauskaitė, with whom he has established one of the most prominent chamber ensemble in Europe, Kremerata Baltica.
The grand symphonic sound of Schumann’s Symphony No. 2 will provide a contrasting counterpoint, under the direction of conductor Hossein Pishkar.
