This concert opens with young Serbian composer Jelena Dabić’s piece Beethaphase and closes with Beethoven’s Symphony No. 8. Brahms’ fascination with Beethoven is discernible in all his works and he paid direct homage to the great composer with his Concerto for violin and orchestra, which will be played by violin virtuoso Vadim Gluzman, under the baton of Howard Griffiths.
