Kids – Welcome to the Belgrade Philharmonic!

Once again the Belgrade Philharmonic is organizing its concert get-togethers for preschool children, weekdays at 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon from 9 to 18 October. Our two well-known philharmonic members: Tamara Marinković Tomić and Slavica Perić, will be taking us through the exciting story of “The Witch and the Maestro,” conducted by Bruno Merze.

The story of the witch and the maestro is full of surprises experienced through music. With the help of imagination, kids can clearly see the village with its strange inhabitants, the dark forest where the little witch lives with her cat, the brave maestro – and there is also the witch’s big secret. The fun story has a happy ending, of course – thanks to music!

The story is unusual in that it originated from the pen of a conductor. Howard Griffiths, a frequent guest of the Belgrade Philharmonic, is committed to introducing children to classical music in the most fun way possible. His story, with music composed by Fabian Künzli, will be heard by over 3,000 children, not only from Belgrade kindergartens, hosted by the Belgrade Philharmonic.
