Orchestra member since 2003

 

I take special pride in all the people who taught me to play the bassoon… in numerous first prizes at regional and national competitions, as well as in the first prize won at the competition in Stresa, Italy. I am also proud of the cooperation with all major orchestras in the country and the region, especially of my work in the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra.

 

I am a father and a son, a husband, a table tennis player, a swimmer, a footballer, a basketball player, a 43-Man Squamish player, a cyclist…

 

Biography:

 

Sava Djurić has been the principal bassoonist of the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra since 2003. As a student, he was the laureate of many regional and national competitions in 1998 and 1999, as well as of the competition in Stresa, Italy. He graduated at the Belgrade Faculty of Music in the class of Mirko Isaeski, while he was also trained by Milan Turković and Knut Sønstevold. He has collaborated with numerous symphony orchestras in Serbia, as well as with the Balkan Chamber Academy.
