24/01/18

In the season 2017/18, the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra has introduced a new project within its chamber music scene. Chief Conductor Gabriel Feltz, who also holds a degree in piano performance, will play piano accompaniment for our musicians and will lead these special matinee concerts as the host of musical interviews. The short 30-minute performances will present some of the orchestra musicians as soloists, in carefully selected thematic programmes.

The project was conceived at Gabriel Feltz’s initiative to connect as closely and directly as possible with the audience, who will also be sitting on the stage around the players. The five short concerts offer a break from daily activities and a unique opportunity for the audience to hear the Chief Conductor play the piano and get to know the orchestra members more personally.

The inaugural musical interview is scheduled on Wednesday, 24 January at 2pm, when Feltz will appear together with bassoonist Nenad Janković for the performance of pieces by Telemann, Elgar and Weber. Entrance to these concerts is free.
