We are dedicating a special event to the memory of our Ivan Tasovac by reviving A Soldier’s Tale by Igor Stravinsky, first performed in 2021, featuring striking video segments starring Tasovac himself.

When the Belgrade Philharmonic first presented its bold reinterpretation of A Soldier’s Tale four years ago, Ivan Tasovac took on a triple role – playing the Soldier, the Devil, and the Narrator. In honoring his memory, we revisit this unique music theatre sensation as a tribute to Tasovac’s extraordinary talents. This time, roles will be performed by two actresses, Dubravka Kovjanić and Vladislava Đorđević, joining the original team.

In this authentic interpretation of this remarkable piece, director Nikola Zavišić combines video, onstage narration, and contemporary dance to bring Stravinsky’s work to life. The Belgrade Philharmonic’s concertmaster Tijana Milošević leads a stellar ensemble that includes Mihailo Samoran (clarinet), Sava Đurić (bassoon), Boban Stošić (double bass), Jovan Savić (trumpet), Richard Wheeler (trombone), and Aleksandar Radulović (percussion). Actress and dancer Una Đelošević will be joining the performers onstage. The creative team also features costume designer Sunja Kažić, video artist and editor Filip D. Mikić, while Sanjin Ćorović is in charge of the technical part of the production.

Ticket sales start on Monday, September 15 at 10 AM at our ticket office (Studentski trg 11) and online. Ticket price is 2.500 RSD.
