Sesto Quatrini and Eva Gevorgyan

Sesto Quatrini
Eva Gevorgyan, piano
Young piano star Eva Gevorgyan, winner of over forty competitions worldwide, has been quickly rising in acclaim on the international scene, performing with renowned orchestras across Europe and the U.S., and giving recitals in major concert halls and festivals.
Gevorgyan makes her debut with the Philharmonic audience performing Grieg’s Piano Concerto. The second half of the program features another Scandinavian masterpiece: Carl Nielsen’s Symphony No. 2 – The Four Temperaments. Inspired by the medieval theory of the four tempers, Nielsen translates the caricatured psychological profiles of the choleric, phlegmatic, melancholic, and sanguine into a musical portrait of human nature. This is the first appearance of Italian conductor Sesto Quatrini with the Belgrade Philharmonic.
