Something old, something new, something blue… A composition by world-acclaimed Serbian composer Marko Nikodijevic will be a first-timer on the Belgrade Philharmonic’s repertoire. The theme of this work, first premiered by the MusicAeterna ensemble with Teodor Currentzis, is the biblical story of the creation of the sky, on the second day of the world’s creation. After a great collaboration between Alexei Volodin and Daniel Raiskin in the past seasons, this time we are looking forward to Prokofiev’s Piano Concerto No. 3. We are also remembering our 2006 Swedish tour and the outstanding performance of Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 6.
