Composer and conductor Stephan Hodel lives and works in Bern. His music has been performed by leading ensembles such as the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Festival Strings Lucerne, and English National Ballet. He has always been passionate about composing for large ensembles and exploring a wide variety of musical styles and cultural influences. This spirit of curiosity led to his collaboration with Kurt Bucher, a.k.a. Jeanloup, as they bring the magic of orchestral music to young audiences. 

Hodel’s cross-genre work includes collaborations with Swiss rapper Greis and rock band Dada Ante Portas—a project that received a Gold Record. In addition to composing, Hodel teaches orchestration at the Bern University of the Arts (HKB) and supports artists as an epigenetics coach.
