The Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra’s grand finale of the season 2024/25 is scheduled for June 6, 2025, at MTS Hall (8 PM), featuring one of today’s most celebrated musicians – flutist Emmanuel Pahud.

Instead of the previously announced Chief Conductor Gabriel Feltz, the orchestra will be led by Moritz Gnann, with a program featuring works by Busoni, Dalbavie, and Bruckner. Due to health reasons, Maestro Feltz had to cancel his appearance with deep regret. Stepping in on very short notice, Moritz Gnann – already well-known to both the orchestra and its audience – readily accepted the invitation.

I look forward to this unexpected appearance with the excellent Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra, world class musicians I have always enjoyed working with. It is a special honor to conduct the season finale of such a distinguished ensemble. I am excited about the rich program we will present alongside the great Emmanuel Pahud, and I wish Gabriel Feltz a speedy recovery, conductor Moritz Gnann said.

The legendary Emmanuel Pahud, one of today’s world’s most celebrated flutists, will perform contemporary works for flute by Busoni and Dalbavie. In addition to his remarkable solo career, Pahud has been principal flutist of the Berlin Philharmonic for decades. A distinguished artist, he is the recipient of the 2024 Léonie Sonning Music Prize and a Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters. He last performed with the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra ten years ago. On the day before the concert, he will also hold a masterclass for young flutists at the Belgrade Philharmonic.

The concert, titled To the Last Bar, concludes the season with the pastoral sounds of Bruckner’s Symphony No. 4, the Romantic. A limited number of tickets are still available and can be purchased at the MTS Hall box office as well as online at www.mtsdvorana.rs.
