Music gives life to everything – and each concert creates a little miracle.

How has the history of music evolved? What were the turning points and milestones that profoundly shook the world of classical music? In our new 2025-26 season titled CRESCENDO, the Belgrade Philharmonic presents some of the most defining moments in music history.

At the heart of the season are compositions that served as breakouts in terms of both style and genre – works that charted new, previously unimaginable paths in musical creation, sparking historic surges of innovation and expression. Alongside these transformative historical crescendos, the program also features standard concert and symphonic repertoire, reimagined through fresh concepts, surprising juxtapositions, and premiere performances.

As always, the Belgrade Philharmonic reaches its programming crescendos by bringing the most prominent artists of today’s classical scene to the Serbian capital. Among the season’s distinguished guests are violinists Christian Tetzlaff and Sergey Khachatryan, cellists Pablo Ferrández and Torleif Thedéen, pianists Jan Lisiecki, Alexei Volodin, and Yeol Eum Son, horn player Stefan Dohr, harpist Xavier de Maistre, as well as our prominent artists Ognjen Popović, Ana Kaličanin Radivojević, Richard Wheeler, Ivan Marjanović, Aleksandar Radulović, and Luka Lopičić.

In addition to the Belgrade Philharmonic’s Chief Conductor Gabriel Feltz, the orchestra will be led by its regular guest conductors Daniel Raiskin, Howard Griffiths, John Axelrod, and Stanislav Kochanovsky, as well as exciting new faces making their Philharmonic debut, including Alexandre Bloch and Christoph Altstaedt.

A special contribution to Serbian music, we’ll present with the newly commissioned Concerto for Horn and Orchestra, composed as an homage to Isidora Žebeljan by rising talent Veljko Nenadić.
