German-born mezzo-soprano Eva Vogel won her BA from Mannes College of Music in New York, and her Masters in Music from Yale University. Privately she worked with Christa Ludwig and Brigitte Fassbaender.<\/span><\/p>\n

Having completed her studies in the USA, Eva Vogel became a member of the opera studio at Cologne Opera, before being engaged as a permanent soloist at D\u00fcsseldorf Opera as well as Innsbruck Opera, where she was able to extend her wide repertoire with roles such as Orfeo (Gluck), Ramiro (La Finta Giardiniera), Goffredo (Rinaldo), Lola (Cavalleria Rusticana), Cherubino (Nozze di Figaro), H\u00e4nsel (H\u00e4nsel and Gretel), Oktavian (Der Rosenkavalier), Flora (La Traviata) and Carmen.<\/p>\n

Ms. Vogel became a sought after guest soloist throughout Europe and made appearances with houses such as Staatsoper Berlin, Grand Th\u00e9atre Gen\u00e8ve, Concertgebow Amsterdam, Philharmonie Berlin, Musikverein Wien, Teatro Massimo Palermo, Auditorium Milano and Royal Opera House Covent Garden. She sang various Wagner parts at Aix-en-Provence festival and the Salzburg Easter festival. Eva Vogel has worked with renowned conductors such as Simon Rattle, John Eliot Gardiner, Ivor Bolton, Pietari Inkinen, Axel Kober, Jonathan Nott, Edo de Waart and Ingo Metzmacher.<\/p>\n

Equally at home on the concert stage, the mezzosoprano has appeared in numerous symphony concerts (Berlioz-Les Nuits d’\u00e9t\u00e9, Mahler – Lied von der Erde, R\u00fcckert-Lieder, Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen, Symphony No. 2, Mozart-Requiem, Elgar-Sea Pictures, Beethoven 9, Rossini-Stabat Mater, Wagner-Wesendonck Lieder, Verdi-Requiem) and recitals throughout the world such as in Amsterdam, Antwerp, Berlin, Cologne, Essen, Hamburg, Heidelberg, Munich, New York, Salzburg, Seoul, St. Moritz and Winnipeg.<\/span><\/p>\n

She sang Berlioz-Les Nuits d\u2019\u00e9t\u00e9 with Duisburg Philharmonic (Axel Kober), a Gershwin evening at Klavierfestival Ruhr, Walk\u00fcre in Berlin (Simon Rattle), Palermo (Pietari Inkinen) and Lucerne Festival (Jonathan Nott), Beethoven 9 in D\u00fcsseldorf, G\u00f6tterd\u00e4mmerung in Geneva (Ingo Metzmacher), Magic Flute (Christian Arming) and Mozart-Requiem in Torino (Juraj Valcuha) and Mahler SymphonyNo. 2 & Wesendonck-Lieder in Heidelberg, Mahler Songs in Belfast and a recital at Schloss Elmau.<\/p>\n

Recent engagements include Mahler-Lied von der Erde in Hannover (NDR Radiophilharmonie\/Andrew Manze), Berlioz-Nuits d\u2019\u00e9t\u00e9 at Musikverein Wien (Tonk\u00fcnstlerorchester\/Ivor Bolton), Beethoven-Missa Solemnis in Torino\/Italy (RAI Orchestra, Juraj Valcuha), Mozart Requiem in Milano (John Axelrod), Janaceks From the House of the Dead at Berlin State Opera (Simon Rattle), Magic Flute in Torino (Asher Fisch), Wagners Rheingold & Walk\u00fcre in Munich (Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra\/Simon Rattle), the world premiere of Monster in the Maze by Jonathan Dove (Berlin Philharmonic\/Rattle) and Beethoven Symphony No.9 with Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra & Simon Rattle in Berlin and on tour in Paris, Vienna, New York, Taipeh and Tokyo.<\/p>\n

Current engagements will bring her to Beethovenorchester Bonn&Frank Beermann for Liszt-Beethoven Kantate at Beethovenfest Bonn, to Concerto K\u00f6ln&Kent Nagano for Rheingold at K\u00f6ln, Philharmonie and Amsterdam, Concertgebouw, Sinfonieorchester Basel&Duncan Ward for Hubers Oratorio Weisssagung and Erf\u00fcllung, Copenhagen Philharmonic&Toshiyuki Kamioka for Lied von der Erde and for a recital to Klavierfestival Ruhr<\/span>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
