The Belgrade Philharmonic musicians, soloist Nemanja Radulovi\u0107 and conductor Daniel Raiskin were greeted with a standing ovation at the sold-out concert at the famous Tchaikovsky Concert Hall in the centre of Moscow (6 September). With breathless excitement, over 1500 discerning music lovers heard our musicians\u2019 performance, which opened the Moscow Philharmonic\u2019s concert season. The violin wizard Nemanja Radulovi\u0107 fascinated the audience by his spirited performance of Khachaturian’s Concerto for violin and orchestra with the Belgrade Philharmonic. The Moscowians were enchanted with Nemanja\u2019s debut in Russia\u2019s capital and eagerly demanded an encore for several minutes.

\n\u201cThe concert was amazing, as was the ambience in the packed hall in which we had the honour to perform. We enjoyed ourselves from the first note to the last bar, and, as an encore, we played the Pa\u0161ona dance, which was received more than warmly. All the time, I felt the audience listen and absorb with a wonderful emotion,\u201d said Nemanja, adding that, as far as he could remember, he had never been given so many flowers before!

\nGuided by the confident hand of conductor Daniel Raiskin, the Belgrade Philharmonic triumphantly performed the symphony From the New World by Antonin Dvo\u0159\u00e1k, to the delight of the Moscow audience captivated by the orchestra\u2019s energy. After Turtledove by Hristi\u0107, the atmosphere reached the climax with March on the Drina by Bini\u010dki. \u201cWe are out of encores, but we will come back soon,\u201d said conductor Raiskin to the audience, which had risen to its feet. \u201cThe orchestra achieved an extraordinary success and presented itself in the best possible way. This is an amazing start, twenty years after last performance; plans for the future are already being made and I am certain they will be fulfilled soon,\u201d said conductor Raiskin with pride.

\nThe organisers expressed great pleasure with the Belgrade Philharmonic concert, the sold-out concert hall on a night when several competing events were on offer in Moscow, the presence of youth in the audience, and the extraordinarily good atmosphere.
