{"id":76430,"date":"2021-05-25T16:44:20","date_gmt":"2021-05-25T15:44:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bgf.rs\/cak-dve-premijere-u-filharmoniji-zajedno-sa-atraktivnom-karmen-svitom\/"},"modified":"2021-05-25T16:45:20","modified_gmt":"2021-05-25T15:45:20","slug":"cak-dve-premijere-u-filharmoniji-zajedno-sa-atraktivnom-karmen-svitom","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bgf.rs\/en\/cak-dve-premijere-u-filharmoniji-zajedno-sa-atraktivnom-karmen-svitom\/","title":{"rendered":"Two Premieres and the Alluring Carmen Suite at the Belgrade Philharmonic"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Belgrade Philharmonic and Chief Conductor Gabriel Feltz will be holding two new concerts at the Belgrade Philharmonic Hall on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday (May 27, 28, and 29) at 7:00 p.m. with two premiere performances of compositions by Paul Hindemith and Benjamin Britten, plus Rodion Shchedrin&#8217;s attractive <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Carmen Suite<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Belgrade Philharmonic will perform Hindemith&#8217;s <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Konzertmusik Op. 49<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> with brass instruments in the foreground, followed by Britten&#8217;s <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Russian Funeral<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, which has also never been on the orchestra&#8217;s program before, and at the end, the famous and very entertaining <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Carmen Suite<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8222;We opted for this concept because percussion and brass instruments had been less represented in our programs in this, as we know, restrictive concert season. So now we have a wonderful opportunity to hear them in their full glory in phenomenal opuses. We will be performing Hindemith and Britten&#8217;s compositions for the first time, while Shchedrin&#8217;s piece is an ingenious combination of Bizet&#8217;s music.
