{"id":75919,"date":"2021-03-31T07:55:41","date_gmt":"2021-03-31T06:55:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bgf.rs\/?p=75919"},"modified":"2021-03-31T07:57:34","modified_gmt":"2021-03-31T06:57:34","slug":"the-philharmonic-plays-serenades","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bgf.rs\/en\/the-philharmonic-plays-serenades\/","title":{"rendered":"The Philharmonic Plays Serenades"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra and Permanent Guest Conductor Daniel Raiskin will be holding concerts from April 1 to 3 at the Belgrade Philharmonic Hall, at 7:00 p.m. The program is in the sign of Romanticism and the Orchestra will play serenades by Anton\u00edn Dvo\u0159\u00e1k and Richard Strauss, as well as a suite by Leopold <strong>Jan\u00e1\u010dek<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The romantic atmosphere, inspired by love calls in the style of Romeo and Juliet, will mark all three concert evenings. The Belgrade Philharmonic will perform works by authors whose works are interconnected; namely Dvo\u0159\u00e1k&#8217;s oeuvre inspired <strong>Jan\u00e1\u010dek<\/strong> and Strauss significantly. The concert evenings will feature Strauss&#8217;s <em>Serenade for Winds<\/em>, <strong>Jan\u00e1\u010dek<\/strong> <em>Suite for String Orchestra,<\/em> and Dvorak&#8217;s <em>Serenade for Winds<\/em>, <em>Cello, and Double Bass<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8222;I am looking forward to the applause of our philharmonic audience, which has moved me to tears recently because I have mostly conducted in empty halls in front of cameras and microphones. Although a limited number of people will be able to attend the concerts, the Belgrade Philharmonic and I will be giving them a musical embrace. Music houses around the world are trying to keep in touch with the audience despite the challenges imposed by the obligatory distancing. We are afraid of touching and being close, which is not in our essence because we are social beings. However, music has always been there to build bridges where everything was seemingly torn down and lost.
