Under the artistic leadership of Catherine Larsen-Maguire, the orchestra\u2019s wind section will play serenades by R. Strauss and Mozart.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nThe most famous works in the serenade genre are signed by Mozart and they are typical examples of the style for wind instruments. Thirteen BPO musicians will perform the famous <em>Gran Partita <\/em>in B-flat major, a unique chamber music of symphonic scale. Inspired by this composition, Strauss wrote his Serenade in E-flat major in his early days, which will be played by the BPO wind ensemble as an introduction to Mozart\u2019s piece.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nA frequent guest of the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra, conductor Catherine Larsen-Maguire will assume the role of the artistic leader of the ensemble. After ten years as principal bassoonist in the orchestra of the Komische Oper Berlin, where she also directed concerts and operatic performances, she decided to concentrate exclusively on conducting in 2012<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n\u201cI am truly delighted about working with the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra \u2013 this time from a slightly different angle, though. In an intimate atmosphere, we are working on an exceptional repertoire, and my role refers above all to harmonisation and implementation of the stylistic concept\u201d, said Catherine Larsen-Maguire.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nIn the season 2015\/16, the Belgrade Philharmonic\u2019s chamber stage has presented larger chamber ensembles through the concept of artistic leadership.
