The concert\u2019s adventurous spirit will be enhanced by Milan Risti\u0107\u2019s Symphony No 2 and the oboe virtuoso Fran\u00e7ois Leleux, who will showcase his skills in the performance of Bohuslav Martin\u016f\u2019s Concerto for Oboe and Orchestra.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nThe selection of music themes from the famous film series is a digest of the fifty-year-long saga about Bond music, with all its ebbs and flows, surprises and disappointments, catastrophes and triumphs\u2026 The author of the James Bond theme, Monty Norman, came up with the tune, which was later arranged by John Barry into music that befits a dangerous spy, and so the genre of spy film music was born. From <em>Goldfinger<\/em> to <em>Casino Royale<\/em>, the audience will join the musical adventures of the irresistible British agent.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n\u201cThe concert dedicated to <em>adventurers<\/em> is a summary of musical tendencies of the 1950s and 1960s, which are typically a blend of classical music, pop and jazz. Accordingly, our adventure will start with Milan Risti\u0107\u2019s neoclassical Symphony No 2, an extraordinary example of Serbian music history. It will continue with Martin\u016f\u2019s contemporary-classical Oboe concerto, and triumphantly end with the suggestive and seductive musical espionage\u201d, said Gabriel Feltz,\u00a0General Music Director of the Dortmund Opera and Chief Conductor of the Dortmund Philharmonic.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nRecognised throughout the world as the best oboist of his generation, Fran\u00e7ois Leleux enjoys an international career appearing with major orchestras and at important venues and festivals, performing repertoire from the baroque to newly commissioned works.
