As part of its educational projects, the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra will organise its first orchestral academy \u2013 The Philcademy<\/em>, in the period 7\u201315 November 2016. For the best students and graduates of the musical academies from Serbia and other countries in the region, the Philcademy<\/em> will be a unique opportunity to receive professional training under the mentorship of the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra musicians, gain experience in orchestral performance and receive the certificate of attendance at the Philcademy<\/em>.
\n 
\nYoung musicians will actively participate in the work process and the final concert, which will be directed by the eminent French conductor Fabrice Bollon. The selected repertoire covers many specific aspects of orchestral performance. Side by side with the BPO musicians, the Philcademy<\/em> trainees will prepare and play L. van Beethoven\u2019s Symphony No 7 and Igor Stravinsky\u2019s Firebird<\/em>.
\n 
\nThe Philcademy<\/em> programme is open for active participation of all interested students and graduates up to 27 years of age. Auditions will be organised between 27 June and 1 July 2016 at the Belgrade Philharmonic Hall, according to the schedule which will be announced subsequently. Optionally, the candidates may submit their recordings of the audition material instead of attending live auditions. The scores will be freely available.

\nPlease fill in the form, downloadable HERE<\/a> and send it by e-mail to filhademija@bgf.co.rs<\/a>, by 3 June 2016 at the latest, or by post to the address: Beogradska filharmonija, Studentski trg 11, 11000 Belgrade, (the envelope should be marked „Za Filhademiju\u201d).<\/em>

\nUpon the receipt of applications, candidates will be notified in writing about the further process of selection.
\n 
\nRehearsals of separate sections with mentors are scheduled in the period 7\u201310 November 2016, followed by full orchestra rehearsals from 11 to 14 November at the Belgrade Philharmonic Hall, which will be the venue of the final concert on 15 November.

\nThe participation in the project is open for musicians playing the following instruments:

\n– violin, viola, violoncello, double bass;
