The beginning of the Belgrade\nPhilharmonic’s #dramaqueenbeethoven series will be directed by Permanent Guest\nConductor Daniel Raiskin, at Kolarac Hall, on Friday November 1, at 8:00 p.m. Performing\nwith the orchestra will be soloists Aneta Ili\u0107, soprano, and violinist Andrey\nBaranov. The concert program features Beethoven, Shostakovich and Tchaikovsky.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The #dramaqueenbeethoven<\/em> series focuses on the composer’s fondness of\nthe drama genre and the connection of his oeuvre with the works of Shakespeare,\nGoethe and Schiller. They were his permanent inspiration, which was passed on\nto later generations of composers. His interest in the drama genre can be seen\nin his opera Fidelio<\/em>, whose concert\naria „Ah, perfido“ (Ah, deceiver) will be sung by Aneta Ili\u0107 and will\ndemonstrate the exceptional vocal skills required of the soloist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another composer spiced up the pages\nof his score with drama; Shostakovich wrote his Concerto for Violin and Orchestra No. 1<\/em> for David Oistrakh, who described\nthe solo section as a „typically Shakespearean role.“ This piece will\nbe interpreted by Andrey Baranov, a younger generation violinist, winner of\nnumerous competitions and a regular guest of the world’s most famous music venues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Concluding the concert program will\nbe Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 3 in D\nmajor<\/em>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

One hundred standing\ntickets will be on sale at the Kolarac Box office from 7:00 p.m., one hour\nbefore the concert.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
