The program will also include compositions by Franz Schubert\nand Sergei Prokofiev.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This concert opens our series <em>#beethovenrules<\/em>, which deals with the\ncomposer&#8217;s unmatched skills as a soloist. Beethoven was one of the greatest\npianists of his time; he was an accomplished violinist and he also played the\ncello.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A favorite of the local audiences,\nAleksandar Mad\u017ear is the perfect choice to open our series, which focuses on solo\nbrilliance. As part of his rich and diverse career, Mad\u017ear has been performing all\nover the world on a regular basis and now, after a hiatus of several years, with\nthe Belgrade Philharmonic, he will be playing Beethoven&#8217;s Piano Concerto No. 4,\na firm piano literature favorite, first performed in public by Beethoven\nhimself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition to being frequently\nperformed and recorded, Beethoven&#8217;s Piano Concerto No. 4 is considered as one\nof the central achievements of this genre and its second movement is among the\nmost beautiful in music literature.
