The program also includes compositions by Mendelssohn and Elgar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dubbed by local critics as the &#8222;best Serbian violist&#8220; and a &#8222;charismatic artist full of enthusiasm,&#8220; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bgf.rs\/en\/solista_cp\/sasa-mirkovic\/\">Sa\u0161a Mirkovi\u0107<\/a> is active as a soloist, chamber and orchestra musician, teacher, and organizer of musical life. Mirkovi\u0107 is one of those artists who enjoys performing works by Dragana Jovanovi\u0107, both in Serbia and abroad, and with the Belgrade Philharmonic, he will play her <em>Seasons<\/em> for solo viola, string orchestra, electric harpsichord, and harp. Even though the title is reminiscent of the work by Vivaldi, her <em>Seasons<\/em> brings a completely different expression and mix of different styles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is the first time the Belgrade Philharmonic will be headed by a conductor of the younger generation, Leo McFall, whose orchestral repertoire ranges from classical to contemporary music, as well as opera. This third concert from the Wisdom series opens with <em>The Fair Melusine<\/em> by Felix Mendelssohn, arguably the greatest musical child prodigy after Mozart.
