Andreas Ottensamer<\/a>, the principal clarinetist of the Berlin Philharmonic, will perform with the Belgrade Philharmonic at Kolarac Hall on two nights, January 24 and 25, at 8:00 p.m. Under the baton of Maestro Hans Graf<\/a>, the program includes works by Carl Maria von Weber, Anton\u00edn Dvo\u0159\u00e1k, and Gustav Mahler.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the dazzling Sergei Nakariakov, who fully justified his nickname of „Paganini“ on the trumpet, the Belgrade Philharmonic presents another virtuoso on a wind instrument, this time on the clarinet. Andreas Ottensamer is one of those performers who proves that there can be a superstar even in classical music. He comes from an Austro-Hungarian musical family;  his brother, and until recently his father, were principal clarinetists of the Vienna Philharmonic, and Andreas „ran off“ to the famous Berlin Orchestra, where he has the same prestigious position. In order to show all the flexibility of his instrument, he often makes incursions into other musical styles. In addition to performing regularly with the greatest names of classical music, he is the first exclusive clarinetist of Deutsche Grammophon. He also performs very frequently with violinist Nemanja Radulovi\u0107, with whom, among other things, he promotes classical music in Berlin’s techno clubs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The most wanted clarinetist of today and the Belgrade Philharmonic are performing together for the very first time and on their program is Clarinet Concerto No. 1 by Carl Maria von Weber. The concert program also includes the overture from the „Freeshooter“ by the same composer, Dvo\u0159\u00e1k’s „Othello“ and the famous „Adagio“ from Gustav Mahler’s Symphony No. 10. The conductor is Hans Graf, a dear guest of the Belgrade Philharmonic and a prominent Austrian conductor, one of the most respected musicians of today who, among many other prestigious awards, is the owner of a Grammy award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tickets for Thursday’s concert are on sale at the Belgrade Philharmonic and the Kolarac Hall box offices. Also, for Friday’s concert, 100 standing tickets will be on sale at the Kolarac Box Office, from 7:00 p.m. one hour before the concert.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
