The introduction to our rave party is Mozart&#8217;s &#8222;Little Night Music&#8220; followed by a performance by Sergei Krilov, one of the best violinists in the world.<\/p>\n<p>&#8222;Asyla&#8220; by contemporary British author Thomas Ad\u00e8s, takes us to the dark side of the late 20th century &#8211; life in megalopolises and techno parties in big clubs, with all the accompanying wickedness and immorality. Chief Conductor Gabriel Feltz is preparing something quite special for the Philharmonic&#8217;s audience &#8211; he will give a big concert lecture:<\/p>\n<p>&#8222;At the concert itself I will talk about &#8216;Asyla&#8217; and before each movement I will explain through concrete examples what the composer wanted to say with his music. As Chief Conductor of this splendid orchestra, I think it is very important not to perform only music from the past. At least once a year, I want to take the audience on an exciting journey through some fantastic examples from contemporary music, and I believe that this work will be performed a hundred years from now,&#8220; Gabriel Feltz said.<\/p>\n<p>The techno movement &#8222;Ecstasio&#8220; will be a treat for fans of TV series, who will recognize this music from the popular series &#8222;Mozart in the Jungle.&#8220; While working on the orchestration of this movement, the composer experienced a panic attack, with symptoms similar to those caused by using ecstasy, thinking that he was suffering a heart attack. In the performance of this unusual composition, the Belgrade Philharmonic&#8217;s percussionists will have a lot of work &#8211; in addition to the usual percussion instruments they will also play on cowbells, tin cans, washbowls, pots, as well as knives and forks.<\/p>\n<p>In this unusual combination with &#8222;Asyla,&#8220; Mozart&#8217;s most popular composition &#8222;Little Night Music,&#8220; and Violin Concerto No. 2 by Sergei Prokofiev, with the virtuoso violinist Sergei Krilov, invite the audience to explore the sinister side of the Philharmonic&#8217;s &#8222;Darkness&#8220; series.
