Under the baton of erstwhile Chief Conductor <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bgf.rs\/en\/dirigent_cp\/uros-lajovic\/\">Uro\u0161 Lajovic<\/a>, De Maistre will perform the ubiquitously popular Concierto de Aranjuez by Rodrigo.<\/p>\n<p>De Maistre performs an outstandingly varied repertoire, including pieces that few harpists even considered playing before him. He has thus gained a reputation as one of the most creative and extraordinary musicians of his generation, capable of playing arrangements of pieces usually performed by an entire orchestra.<\/p>\n<p>Xavier de Maistre was the first French musician to join the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, only to develop a career as a soloist with many orchestras and celebrated conductors such as Kristjan J\u00e4rvi, Riccardo Muti, Andr\u00e9 Previn or Sir Simon Rattle.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the renowned harpist, numerous admirers of Stanley Kubrick\u2019s 2001: A Space Odyssey will have the singular opportunity of hearing the Belgrade Philharmonic\u2019s first performance of Ligeti&#8217;s Atmospheres, immortalized by the film. Uro\u0161 Lajovic, one of the audience and orchestra&#8217;s favorite conductors, will round off the program by Tchaikovsky&#8217;s Manfred Symphony.
