In addition to the popular soundtrack from the film <em>The Piano<\/em>, the orchestra will also play pieces by Adams, Debussy and Scriabin, under the baton of Fabrice Bollon.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nOne of today\u2019s best known composers, Michal Nyman became internationally recognized as the composer of a large number of soundtrack numbers for famous films, the most popular being the music for Jane Campion\u2019s film <em>The Piano<\/em>, which he used as the basis for his Concerto for piano and orchestra. Through this piece, wide audiences came to understand minimalistic music, with Nyman as its most prominent representative.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nLP Duo, consisting of pianists Sonja Lon\u010dar and Andrija Pavlovi\u0107, have searched for a long time for the version of this piece for two pianos, which has been quite mystified in the musical community: \u201cWe spent years searching for it and just when we decided to arrange it by ourselves, the version for two pianos written by the composer himself emerged. It is fantastic that we have been given the opportunity to play its world premiere, and doing it with the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra is a special treat\u201d, the pianists said excited about the support from the composer himself. \u201cMichael Nyman recently contacted us and wished us luck in performing this piece, and he also regretted for not being able to attend the premiere\u201d.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nThe programme of the BPO\u2019 concerts on 8\u20139 June will include J. Adams\u2019 <em>Short Ride in a Fast Machine, <\/em>C. Debussy\u2019s <em>Jeux and <\/em>A.
