This remarkable soloist will perform one of the most celebrated piano pieces, Sergei Rachmaninoff&#8217;s <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, accompanied by pieces from Lyadov and Prokofiev.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Titled <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Enchantment,<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> this concert promises to captivate the Belgrade Philarmonic\u2019s audience. <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Enchanted Lake <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">by Anatoly Lyadov opens the evening with the mesmerizing image of starlight glistening on water\u2019s surface, setting the stage for Rachmaninoff\u2019s <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rhapsody<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2014 an electrifying piece that Melnikov will bring to life, showing the magic of Paganini on the piano.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Melnikov\u2019s career as a pianist spans over three decades, featuring collaborations with prestigious orchestras such as the Royal <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Concertgebouw<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Orchestra, Leipzig\u2019s <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Gewandhaus<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Orchestra, the BBC Symphony Orchestra, and the London, Munich, and Rotterdam Philharmonics, led by eminent conductors like Teodor Currentzis, Charles Dutoit, Paavo J\u00e4rvi, and Vladimir Jurowski. In addition to his extensive performance schedule, Melnikov has earned multiple awards for his recordings, including the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Gramophone<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Award, BBC Music Magazine Award, and the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Choc de Classica<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Award.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Talented Christian Reif, a promising young conductor of the new generation, will conclude the evening with Prokofiev\u2019s seventh and final symphony.
