The Belgrade Philharmonic is thrilled to announce two upcoming and highly anticipated concerts with the legendary Zubin Mehta on October 11 and 12 at the Kolarac Hall, starting at 8 PM. Fans of the beloved maestro, who have eagerly awaited his return, can look forward to not one but two performances with the orchestra. Tickets go on sale starting September 11, available both at the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra\u2019s box office as well as online<\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As the Belgrade Philharmonic proudly steps into its second century, celebrating its 101st anniversary, it does so with one of the most iconic figures of the classical music and a long-time friend of the orchestra. The upcoming concerts in October, which are generating huge excitement, will celebrate Mehta\u2019s taking the stage with the Belgrade Philharmonic for the fifteenth time. For this special occasion, the program will feature the masterpieces such as Mozart\u2019s <\/span>Symphony No. 40 in G minor<\/span> and Schubert’s <\/span>Symphony No. 9<\/span>, „The Great\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

I always look forward to reuniting with the Belgrade Philharmonic, an orchestra with which I share cherished memories<\/span><\/i>, said the renowned maestro. The celebrated conductor last performed in Belgrade in 2023 as part of the Philharmonic\u2019s centenary celebrations and led the orchestra on a tour as part of the Open Balkan initiative.<\/span><\/p>\n

Now 88, Maestro Mehta continues to be an active and towering presence on the world music stage, where he has performed for nearly seven decades, in concerts that have become iconic. The Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra is thrilled to once again welcome Mehta, honoring his wish to once again lead the orchestra with which he made his debut and launched a still-thriving career.<\/span><\/p>\n

I have been a fan of the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra since 1958, when I had one of my very first concerts with them in Belgrade. Their growth and progress since then have been incredible, and I am excited to conduct them once again. We are already talking about future plans, and I am looking forward to our reunion, the maestro said last year following the centennial concert and the successful tour in Albania and North Macedonia.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
