{"id":11195,"date":"2017-04-28T12:28:03","date_gmt":"2017-04-28T11:28:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bgf.rs\/?p=11195\/"},"modified":"2017-05-19T09:29:11","modified_gmt":"2017-05-19T08:29:11","slug":"lovers-philharmonic-finale","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bgf.rs\/en\/lovers-philharmonic-finale\/","title":{"rendered":"Lovers\u2019 Philharmonic Finale"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Following the fourth concert of the <em>Philharmania \u2013 Because Once Is Not Enough <\/em>series, at Kolarac (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.bgf.rs\/repertoar_cp\/filharmanija-2-4\/\">27 April<\/a>), the audience rewarded the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra musicians, conductor Howard Griffiths and pianist Andrea Lucchesini with a long round of applause.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n<em>The Philharmania<\/em> is a compilation of the most attractive programmes from the orchestra\u2019s regular concert season, performed as pre-premiere concerts. The main theme of last night\u2019s concert was love, as portrayed in the 20<sup>th<\/sup> century through the music of Prokofiev, Bartok and Shostakovich.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nFirstly, love was given a comical interpretation in Prokofiev\u2019s suite <em>The Love for Three Oranges<\/em>, based on the composer\u2019s famous opera. Then it was considered from the prism of Bartok\u2019s Concerto for piano and orchestra No. 3, which he composed as a birthday gift to his wife, performed by brilliant Andrea Lucchesini, only to receive a dramatic conclusion in Shostakovich\u2019s film suite <em>The Gadfly<\/em>, which combines stories of war and love.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nThe audience delightedly greeted the musicians, and the special guests in this concert were students of all grades of the 1<sup>st<\/sup> Kragujevac Gymnasium, who were enjoying their first concert of the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n<em><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-11179\" src=\"http:\/\/www.bgf.rs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/MDJ159711.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1170\" height=\"780\" \/><br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nBecause once is not enough<\/em>, the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra will perform the same programme on Friday, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bgf.rs\/repertoar_cp\/za-zaljubljene-5-2\/\">28 April<\/a> as part of the regular season, within the series <em>For Lovers<\/em>.
