On Friday, September 8, the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra is hosting a free open-air concert together with conductor Aleksandar Kojic<\/a> at Sloboda Square in Pozega, starting at 8:00 PM,. The Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra has been marking its centenary not only in Belgrade but throughout Serbia, this time in Pozega in collaboration with its Sports and Cultural Center.<\/span><\/p>\n

Coming back from the summer break and just before the launch of the 2023\/24 concert season at Kolarac, the BPO will perform a program featuring celebrated music pieces. The anticipating audience from the entire Zlatibor District will have the opportunity to enjoy melodies from operas such as <\/span>Carmen<\/span><\/i> and <\/span>Le nozze di Figaro<\/span><\/i>, ballets like <\/span>The Nutcracker<\/span><\/i> and enchanting music composed by Strauss, Brahms, and Dvo\u0159\u00e1k.<\/span><\/p>\n

I<\/span><\/i>t is a great pleasure to be with the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra once again; after a long time, it feels like a reunion with a dear friend<\/span><\/i>. <\/span>It feels the same even when the orchestra comes back to a town to perform after long 35 years. Therefore, the concert in Pozega serves many purposes – to unite a large number of people through music, to enrich the young generations, who may enjoy unforgettable classical masterpieces for the first time during this extraordinary evening and acquire interest in music they rarely have the chance to hear live. And finally, to allow us all to immerse and enjoy in timeless sounds. It\u2019s something that benefits us all and is definitely an event that must not be missed! <\/span><\/i>the conductor Aleksandar Kojic said.<\/span><\/p>\n

This grand open-air concert in Pozega is the Belgrade Philharmonic\u2019s first performance in this city in 35 years.
