The Philharmonic Theatre 4

The project titled Philharmonic Theatre – Composers’ Letters stems from the desire to combine the arts of theatre and music into a single distinctive performance – one that offers to the listener, and now to the viewer, a new perspective on enjoying and understanding the works of great composers.
By correlating the composers’ correspondence with the people they were close with, on the one hand, and the music they wrote, on the other, we are creating an intimate new genre – the theatre concert, a new work that combines music and words.
The Philharmonic Theatre – Composers’ Letters is a series of five concerts for chamber ensembles and actors, dedicated to five composers – Mozart, Tchaikovsky, Mahler, Schumann and Stravinsky, to their geniuses, dramatic fates or tragic loves. The BPO musicians will share the stage with actors Tamara Krcunović and Vladimir Aleksić.
