After the huge success of the Belgrade Philharmonic’s outdoor concert on 25 June 2017, conducted by Gabriel Feltz and special guest Zubin Mehta, with an incredible attendance of 30,000 people, concerts of this kind are becoming a tradition. Plans for building the Belgrade Philharmonic’s new concert hall in block 13 have motivated us to embark on the organization of this huge event on this particular plot of land.
The program is tailor-made for a wide target group, including families with children, young people, and the senior population. In 2017, Belgrade Philharmonic’s open-air concert had program of the most popular works of classical music voted by the audience. Spectacular NASA images of the universe and the Earth and music of Strauss and Dvorak were part of the open-air concert in 2018. Unfortunately, due to bad weather performance of Walt Disney’s magical and incredible Fantasia was canceled in 2019. The open-air concert in 2020 will be something completely different!
The grand finale of the Beethoven Marathon will be performed in a single day by the Belgrade Philharmonic and the Dortmund Philharmonic with Gabriel Feltz, alternately performing all of Beethoven’s symphonies, is scheduled for open-air concert 2020.
