New Year’s Concert 2

Aleksey Igudesman takes a look at some of Beethoven’s most well known greatest works, such as “For Elise” and his 5th and 9th symphony and re-invents them in fresh, often humorous but always deeply original and innovative ways. Adding rhythms from many styles and nations across the world, he reinterprets those classics to have a new and fresh meaning in the 21st century.
Much like Beethoven, Igudesman moved to Vienna at a young age and has been disrupting the music scene there for 30 years. He has been named the impresario and musical representative of Vienna for the Beethoven year 2020 and celebrates it with his audiences world wide.
Other works on the program include ingenious and exciting works by Igudesman inspired by music from around the world.
