Guest Appearance in Oman


The Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra will celebrate the arrival of the New Year 2016 on the coast of the Arabian Sea, in a concert at the monumental Royal Opera House Muscat. Directed by conductor David Levi, the soloists at the concert will include violinist Anna Tifu, an Italian star of the younger generation, tenor Michael Schade, a permanent member of the Wiener Staatsoper and a regular guest at the world´s most renowned opera houses such as the Metropolitan Opera and the Munich Opera, and soprano Fatma Said, the young Egyptian calssical music star and recipient of the scholarship from Teatro alla Scala.
The programme will include popular numbers from operettas and musicals by Lehar, Strauss, Herbert and Rodgers, an attractive violin performance of pieces by Sarasate and Monti, while a special place in the programme is also given to Konstantin Blagojević’s Balkan Symphonic Dance No. 2.
